“Bundelkhand Naturals” originally started as “Bundelkhand Jaivik Farm” in 2002 from Panna District of M.P. State with an objective to produce organic products as well as spread the awareness among the farming community. Now Bundelkhand Naturals is also running at village Chhanehra Lalpur of Banda district of U.P. State. The founder of “Budelkhand Naturals” is Mr. Aslam Khan and Mrs. Asma Khatoon is Co-founder. Later on they got certification of organic produce and registered their brand as “Bundelkhand Naturals” which are inreasingly popular all over the country. The founders developed their own Sustainable Farming System Model called as SFS Model. In this model they have included all the major components of allied agriculture listed as:
- Organic Crop Production
- Organic Vegetables and Fruit Production
- Fishery Unit
- Goatary Unit
- Dairy Unit
*-: Natural SFS Model Agriculture – “Advanced Integrated Agriculture, Happy Prosperous Farmers”:-*
SFS model stands for “Sustainable Farming System”, its basic premise is “Advanced Live Agriculture”.
At present, there are many problems in the field of natural or organic agriculture and chemical agriculture such as uncertainty of weather, untimely rainfall, continuous qualitative increase in the cost of production of agriculture due to various reasons, farmers not getting proper price for their agricultural produce in the market. In today’s era, agricultural work has become very risky due to reasons like lack of price etc. As a result, agricultural work is proving to be a loss-making deal for the farmer. In the present scenario, the younger generation is losing interest in the agricultural sector. Even today, due to various risks in agricultural work, farmers are motivating their sons to work in industries, government/private sector jobs etc. instead of working in agriculture. If the situation continues like this, then the day is not far when we will not have people available to do agriculture and we will all be dependent on factories and companies for food.
It is a very unfortunate matter that all the living beings on the earth need food for survival, but in today’s dazzling lifestyle, no one wants to grow food. If the situation continues like this, we may face a food crisis like the past in the future. This is an important and thoughtful question.
When we started farming in the year 2002, gradually the problems mentioned above started coming in front of us, to solve which we made some small improvements in our agriculture, due to which our farming became self-sustainable. We have named these integrated reforms-
“Advanced Integrated Live Farming Based SFS Model Agriculture”
We are continuously working to make awareness among farming community for adopting this model. During initial phase, we were producing the food items used for the basic needs of our daily life on own farm without using any kind of chemical fertilizers and poisonous chemicals and from the animals being reared on the farms. With the help of dung-urine (especially from the dung and urine of local cows, buffaloes, goats and chickens) and natural fertilizers made from dry and green crop residues and insect-disease protection medicines prepared from various plants etc. If crop produce exceeds than our requirements, it is made available directly to the consumer in its original form or
processed. Now we have completely transformed to organic farming in natural way. We are producing pure organic products at our farm as well as we have tied up with the farmers practicing similar pattern of farming. At present time we are fulfilling the demand of our customers form from all over the nation.
Message to Farming Community by Mr. Aslam Khan:
Farmers, first of all, to harvest rain water as per requirement and availability of land in their fields, they must plant trees on the fields and make a farm pond on the fields so that the field water can be stored in the fields, do multi-dimensional farming, all the dimensions complement each other. For example, we take up mixed food crops, cultivation of vegetables, pulses and oilseed crops, fruits, timber and medicinal trees.
Along with this, in animal husbandry, indigenous cow and buffalo rearing, goat rearing, indigenous poultry farming, fish farming and duck rearing in farm pond, growing seasonal green fodder for animals, annual green fodder, Azolla etc. Make organic fertilizers and insect repellents on your own farm. Along with this, for beekeeping, mushroom production, protected farming, proper utilization of cow dung, prepare the option of self-made fuel on your own farm by setting up cow dung gas plant. Keep the environment clean by installing solar panels and making proper and full use of solar energy in your daily agricultural and household work.
If farmers do natural farming in this way, then the cost of crop production also reduces and in adverse circumstances, if there is loss from one dimension, then there will be a fixed and regular income from other dimensions. With this model, our farmer brothers will become prosperous and happy and their income will also increase.
With respect and humble request: – It is a solemn request to all you respected farmer brothers and sisters that for more information, you can contact me on phone between 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm every day. If you want to visit the farm, you can come to the farm only on Sunday between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
